History - Past to Present:
|
I find peace in playing music with other stable people. I have a great life, a good job, an awesome family, and a wonderful conglomeration of friends.
Music is my passion. I was booking bands in great clubs and got sick of the undependable practices of bands. I took into consideration all of the time I spent booking, and realized playing music is more rewarding than getting paid to babysit. I founded my band Kiss the Sky. WWW.myspace.com/youwillkissthesky is the website. The format is top forty modern rock that can be danced to. We play in venues that are fun, safe, and enjoyable for friends and family members.
I formed the cover band Kiss the Sky with the best intentions. I have attempted to create a live music studio with all the equipment needed to practice efficiently and comfortable. My tolerance for undependable musicians is limited. I have played with musicians who are drug addicts, have Yoko Ono significant others, homeless, no transportation, no gear, no money, and what I despise the most undependable, and irresponsible. This usually means they don't do their homework, they don't show up, they feel the need to be drunk to play, or they must be out of their mind on drugs (let's just call it undependable). When I feel that the people who are working with me don't appreciate the situation I sever ties. I have undoubtedly hurt some feelings when I’ve done this. It has never been personal, just business!
I work hard to make a good life for myself, family, and friends. Playing music is my hobby. I passionately savor the time spent making music with other talented individuals. When I get that opportunity I find it to be fun, relaxing, and euphoric. It's not my second job. I wish it was, but I know the reality of such an aspiration. I admit I am controlling, forward, and calloused because of my experiences. I’m no Victor Wooten on the bass but I have a passion and desire to make music. I practice the philosophy that anyone can play an instrument but a musician can play any time, anywhere, or any place with other musicians. Age, gender, race, sexual orientation, or ethnicity is unimportant to me. I seek only those who share my passion for life. My humble regards for taking the time to read my bio.
